Recently, I was on to my business tour to the United States. It was my second foreign trip and my first to the united States of America. The first one was to Europe which was a vacation tour and this one to the United States was my business tour sponsored by my company. Though it was a business tour i had to keep in touch with my family back home. I didn't had my cellphone with me as it would have not worked there in the United States. Though in India the calling rates are very cheap we never have our mobile bill exceeding 15 Dollars, the case of calling in the United States was a different story all together.

I found calling back home from US was much much expensive and i had to pay hefty telephone bills for my calls back home. It was completely disastrously for me as i spend more than 100 dollars on my calls. I had a complete loss of money without any other method of calling back home.

When I returned home back to India I shared all my experiences with my family members. It was then my sister in law told me about phone cards that were used in the US for calling. Not only that, if you have got balance left in your calling card then you can still use the same calling card for local calls, national calls, international calls when you are back to your own country. Is it not a great thing to have when you are roaming around the world.
